Ballard Rosenberg Golper & Savitt, LLP Obtains a Defense Verdict in Wrongful Termination Lawsuit

On January 26, 2017, a jury in California returned a verdict in favor of our client on a wrongful termination claim brought by one of its former employees. The case was tried by our attorneys Linda Miller Savitt and Shant Kotchounian. The lawsuit claimed that our client, a manufacturer of U.S. military hydraulic equipment, terminated the employee in retaliation for a lawsuit brought against the company by her husband (also a former employee of the company). After a week-long trial, the jury deliberated for less than three hours before returning a verdict in favor of our client. The court had previously thrown out claims alleging that our client had engaged in unfair competition and violated the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).
